Forró Douro was created by a group of friends who wanted to create the best festival ever.
For us, the birth of Forró Douro represents the fulfilment of a dream, the culmination of a joint and cooperative effort and a true and sincere desire to share all these feelings with all the forrozeiros in the world.
The 6th edition of our festival will take place from April 30 to May 2, 2027, at the iconic Alfândega do Porto.
It’s going to be a weekend full of dancing, music and entertainment. For those who want to improve their skills, body awareness and creativity, Forró Douro will have workshops with different styles and techniques, and plenty of opportunities to practice.
During the three days of the festival there will be parties in the afternoon and evening, with live concerts and DJ sets.
For those who like to explore the city, Alfândega do Porto is located very close to the historic city centre. You can stroll through Porto’s beautiful streets, sip a good wine and watch the sun set over the River Douro.
