The Forróçacana group emerged in 1997 from the union of young people from Rio in love with Luiz Gonzaga’s forró pé de serra, Jackson do Pandeiro and Dominguinhos.

Soon the group embarked on an authorial career throughout Brazil, and created a style that combined forró with samba, choro, among other world influences such as rock, reggae and oriental music.

They made several international tours, in France, Portugal, United States.

All members of the group are composers and multi-instrumentalists.

Cachaça – guitar, cavaco and viola caipira

Chris Mourao – percussion

Marcos Moletta – fiddle, mandolin and Bahian guitar.
